Despite being a chronic disease, Rosacea has been treated with very positive results.
What is?
Rosacea is a chronic disease of the skin of the face, more prevalent in women, but which can affect people of both sexes and of different ages. Although it is not a serious disease, due to its manifestations, it is quite uncomfortable and sometimes embarrassing from an aesthetic point of view and in relation to others.
There are several clinical types of rosacea and in some situations differential diagnoses with other diseases can be made. There is, however, a manifestation that is practically common to all forms of Rosacea: - Redness of the face, also known as "couperose".
The Dermatologist should guide the patient with rosacea, having several useful medical treatments, which vary with the type and state of the disease.
Increasingly, the "vascular" laser is used, which is not a miraculous "panacea", it is very effective in the disappearance of redness and dilated capillaries of the face, as unsightly as they are unwanted. The laser allows not only to lighten the skin but also contributes to the symptomatic improvement of the disease, reducing or making the outbreaks of flushing and facial heat, so frequent in this pathology, disappear. By "closing" many dilated capillaries, the laser helps to treat the other manifestations of the disease dependent on vasodilation and delays its evolution.
